Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola and her husband, Todd Nepola, are not speaking after she recently revealed that they’re in couples therapy amid their divorce.
“Todd and Alexia are not on speaking terms at the moment after the podcast,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They hit a bump in the road. But she is still holding on to hope that they’re going to save their marriage.”
The revelation comes after the 57-year-old revealed that she and Todd were working on salvaging their marriage despite Todd’s divorce filing.
On the Saturday, June 15, episode of the Two Ts In A Pod podcast, Alexia Nepola told Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge that she and Todd have hooked up since Todd filed for divorce earlier this year.
“We’ve done it all,” the RHOM star said when asked about her and Todd’s post-split hookups. “Yeah, we love each other. We’re super into each other.”
“For me, it was working,” Alexia said about her relationship with Todd. “I just thought that there were typical fights and problems that every couple has. But it’s not how much you fight or how hard you fight, it’s being able to work through those fights and find resolution. And I think that that’s where we have our biggest challenge.”
“He knew what he was getting himself into,” the RHOM star explained, “but I think that once they’re in it, they’re like, ‘Oh, I don’t like this. How do I get out of it?’… I felt like he’s very impulsive and that was the decision (filing for divorce) he took at that moment. And then after being away from each other, I think the distance sometimes is good because you can refresh and you have time to think about things and in a different environment than when you’re at each other’s throats every day, even though that wasn’t the case before.”
Alexia Nepola then confirmed that she and Todd are now in couple’s therapy to work on salvaging their marriage. Despite being completely heartbroken over Todd’s divorce filing, she admitted she wanted him back.
“I’m madly in love with him and I would want it to work out,” Alexia continued. “So that’s why it’s so difficult. But, you know, there’s a lot there, there’s a lot to unpack. But again, I feel that being in the public eye is so much harder, and I think that’s one of the reasons that he’s struggling with this.”
As previously reported, Todd Nepola filed for divorce from Alexia Nepola on Thursday, April 11 in Miami-Dade County.
The Real Housewives of Miami is expected to return to Bravo in early 2025.
