Riley Green Joining ‘The Voice’ as Coach for Season 30

The debut No Values Festival in Pomona, California featured a punk’s dream lineup — a balance of nostalgic and fresh acts, with a sprinkling of ska, who all hold reverence for the genre’s innovative shapeshifting over the past few decades. Across a single day in sticky heat, the festival racked up a series of eye-popping realities as the hours stretched on, one right after another. Dead Kennedys leader Jello Biafra joined Dillinger Escape Plan onstage, who were playing for the first time since 2017. Drummer Josh Freese linked up with his old group the Vandals before heading overseas with Foo Fighters. Iggy Pop, at his first show of the year, let a fan crash the stage while he launched into 1977’s “Lust for Life.” Sublime, newly fronted by the LA legacy act’s rightful heir, Jakob Nowell (Bradley’s son), pulled out a handful of dusty rarities (including Bad Religion and Descendents covers) that hadn’t been touched in nearly three decades.
