Kate Beckinsale Breaks Silence On Mystery Hospitalization

Kate Beckinsale has a message for critics and body shamers — “mind your own f—king ass!”

The “Underworld” star brazenly slammed internet trolls in a recent Instagram post, calling them out for judging her body and alleged age-inappropriate behavior. She clarified that they needed to mind their business, especially given her latest health scare.

Kate Beckinsale’s clapback at trolls comes four months after she sparked concern about her well-being with shots from the hospital.

On Monday, Beckinsale updated her Instagram page with a video of herself in a skimpy pink ensemble and black knee-high boots. She looked significantly thinner, an observation someone rudely commented on, writing:

“Go do some squats @katebeckinsale I think ur ass ran away.”

The offensive statement did not skip Beckinsale’s notice, and she issued a lengthy response, revealing the shocking truth behind her mystery hospitalization in March. “No, actually, I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly. My mother has stage 4 cancer,” she began.

“And I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief quite quickly, and then I was in the hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my oesophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard,” Beckinsale confessed.

Besides finding it challenging to eat with the hole in her throat plus the crushing weight of grief, Beckinsale revealed that her latest Hollywood project had also impacted her health. In her words:

“I just worked very very hard on a movie that was actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father. So I’m not really concerned about what you think about my ass.”

“Maybe you should worry about your own f—king ass. I suggest shoving something up it-like a large pineapple or a brick,” Beckinsale quipped. She echoed similar sentiments about her disinterest in entertaining rude comments in the video.

The 50-year-old flaunted her body in a pink ensemble featuring a skimpy top and matching panties. She donned a large black bow on her blonde tresses and rocked a matching hair net, retaliating against previous mean comments about her behavior.

In the video, Beckinsale stood before a full-length mirror, looking younger than ever as she covered her curled-up tresses with the hair net. Someone in the background asked, “Kate, what are you doing?” and she responded:

“Well, some, not all, but a few of my followers can get themselves really upset that they don’t feel I’m doing enough age-appropriate things, so I thought I’d let them kick off their week with a little stab of joy of me putting on a hairnet.”

Beckinsale flashed the camera a side view of her butt in a sexy pose, adding: “So for those of you who are gonna get off from this, have had it, b-tches.” The video ended with the 50-year-old joking about starting knitting to be more age-appropriate.

The actress’s quips at critics continued in the post’s caption, reading: “Let’s have a toast for the do-chebags. Let’s have a toast for the a—holes. Let’s have a toast for the sc-mbags.” Her words received mixed reactions, with trolls attempting to bash her confidence.

However, their displeasure was drowned in the cheers and applause from Beckinsale’s fans. “What a fantastic outfit. Like a sexy Nora Batty,” someone praised the 50-year-old, with another writing: “I love seeing you remain young at heart!”

“Why can’t ppl just enjoy the ‘fun’ that is Kate… and move on with their lives,” a fan wondered while a fourth assured Beckinsale, “You have more true fans who appreciate you than haters. Always know this.”

In March, The Blast reported that Beckinsale had announced her hospitalization with tearful pictures from the facility. She posed on the bed with a large black bow on her head while her mother, Judy Loe, and her dogs had fun in the room.

The TV personality thanked her mother for supporting her through dark times in the post’s caption, writing:

“Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s— and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t.”

Beckinsale also thanked Loe for caring for her dogs and praised her for always being there whenever she was sick. Despite dropping the hospital pics, she did not explain her sudden hospitalization, leaving many concerned about her well-being.
