On July 23, 2024, the makers of Khel Khel Mein launched its first motion poster across social media platforms. The first look showcased the lead cast in high spirits. Akshay Kumar stands at the center wearing glasses surrounded by Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan.
They are further flanked by Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, and Pragya Jaiswal, all with beaming smiles. The poster then transitions, showing the group with fingers on their lips, suggesting hidden secrets behind their cheerful façade. Akshay Kumar shared the poster on Instagram with an intriguing caption.
Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein is reportedly a situational comedy focusing on three couples. According to sources, the film is about a group of friends who gather for a seemingly simple dinner. However, they end up revealing secrets about each other, leading to hilarious and unexpected situations. Additionally, the film is an adaptation of an Italian comedy-thriller film titled Perfect Strangers.
Moreover, Khel Khel Mein marks several iconic reunions. Akshay Kumar last worked with Taapsee Pannu in the 2019 hit Mission Mangal. He also reunites with Vaani Kapoor after they collaborated in the 2021 action film Bell Bottom. Furthermore, the upcoming movie brings Akshay and Fardeen Khan back together after their 2007 cult classic Heyy Babyy.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films, White World Productions, the film was initially slated for a September release but has now been moved up to August 15, 2024.
