On Thursday’s episode of RHOC, Gina Kirschenheiter accused Jennifer Pedranti of being a squatter as she opened up about her complicated financial situation.
During episode 3 of season 18, Jennifer Pedranti opened up about her complex financial situation.
“I’m learning. I had no access to anything [financial],” Jennifer explained while sitting down with the rest of the RHOC cast after playing a flag football game. “I want to stand on my own two feet. I don’t want to not know finances. I don’t want my car not being paid.”
In her RHOC confessional, Jennifer expanded on her financial situation.
“It’s scary to be 46 and have to figure out how to do things that other people learn in their 20s,” she said. “I’ve never had a credit card in my name, and I never knew what fear was, stress was. This is a new spot for me.”
She then told the group that her boyfriend, Ryan Boyajian, agreed to absorb her $24,000 debt.
“You need to make changes so that you’re in the driver’s seat,” Gina Kirschenheirter said, to which Jennifer agreed: “If something were to happen with Ryan, I literally am homeless, and I don’t have a car.”
Gina then called out Jennifer Pedranti for being a squatter after it was revealed that Jennifer was unable to pay rent on a house that Gina found for her and was evicted.
“Gina got me in the house. My ex-husband was traveling at the time because we nest, and so Gina was just vouching. She pulled all the tricks out of her sleeve that she needed to, and it was perfect. Come four months, and I’m living there; it’s a great home for the kids and me, but my ex is going through something,” Jennifer explained before noting that her ex-husband always paid the bills and rent, so she was unaware there was an issue.
“People just don’t understand my life at that time, and I don’t know that I need people to understand it. At the time, I had one debit card. When I needed gas, I would text my ex, and he’d move money. If I needed groceries, I would text, and he would move money. So for people to say, ‘Why didn’t you pay your damn rent?’ I mean, my ex was going through something, and I don’t communicate with him.”
While Gina was sympathetic to Jennifer’s situation, she was upset that Jennifer’s failure to pay rent made her look bad professionally.
“I put someone in a home that wasn’t paying their bills. I have a very good relationship with this agent, and this woman won’t even return my calls,” the 40-year-old RHOC star said before accusing Jennifer of squatting in her rental home. “You were squatting until you got asked to leave.”
Jennifer apologized and insisted that she never meant to hurt Gina and did her best to remedy the unpaid rent issue when she realized what was going on.
“And Gina says she felt like when rent was not being paid, she feels like I was ruining her career. I’m not a woman that would take out another woman’s career, so that was surprising,” Jennifer said.
