Plot – what’s the story about?
The plot of The Outrun centers around Rona, a recovering alcoholic who has just come out of rehab.
The main plot follows Rona, now 30 years old, as she returns to her native of Orkney Islands in Scotland after living recklessly for 10 years in London. After arriving at her hometown, Rona tries to handle both her troubled past and memories from her traumatic childhood, in addition to new demanding and stressful challenges, which could impact her overall recovery process.
