RHOC star Emily Simpson shares her thoughts on John Janssen’s ongoing lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Shannon Beador.
On Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Emily Simpson was peppered about her thoughts on John Janssen‘s lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, Shannon Beador.
Emily Simpson found the timing of John’s lawsuit suspect and believes he only sued Shannon due to his ongoing relationship with Alexis Bellino.
“I think that the timing of it is very suspect. I think he had an opportunity to ask for the money when they broke up months ago. But I think he meticulously waited to do it while we were filming,” the RHOC star said on WWHL.
Emily also called out Alexis for bringing receipts of Shannon’s $75,000 facelift to Heather Dubrow‘s party while chatting with Us Weekly earlier this week.
The RHOC star believes that Alexis was trying to humiliate Shannon with her antics.
“I think what was bothering me was I never had a problem with Alexis being with John,” Emily said. “And then the first group outing we went to, which was Heather’s party at the Balboa Debate Club, I actually rode there with Alexis and I felt like on the way there, she was very reasonable. She was like, ‘I don’t wanna fight with Shannon. I don’t wanna be in a bad place with her.’”
Emily continued, “Then [when] we are there, it’s, like, she says one thing, but then she acts completely different. She’ll say, ‘I wanna be friends.’ But then she’ll humiliate her. She’ll say, ‘I just wanna get along with this woman.’ But then she’ll constantly talk about John in front of her. And it’s like, it doesn’t make sense.”
She added, “I mean, when you show up at a dinner, and there are a bunch of people there, and you have copies of receipts, there’s nothing else [you’re trying to do] except trying to humiliate her.”
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, John is suing Shannon after she reportedly borrowed $75k for a facelift and failed to repay the loan.
On March 20, John filed a lawsuit in Orange County Superior Court against Shannon “for breach of oral contract and promissory fraud, among other things, to recover $75,000 he claims she failed to repay him.”
John alleges that the RHOC star “turned to him for financial support in early 2022, borrowing $40,000 via wire transfer on Jan. 23, 2022, for a facelift procedure. Then, on May 20, 2023, he gave her another $35,000 via personal check.”
In the court filing, the OC businessman claims that Shannon agreed to pay back both loans with interest. However, when he attempted to collect the payments in 2023 and 2024, the reality star failed to do so.
