The Dallas Cowboys have finalized a four-year contract extension worth $136 million with standout wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. This agreement puts an end to Lamb’s holdout with the team.
Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to break the news of the agreement. The deal includes $100 million in guaranteed money, marking it as the second-highest contract ever for a non-quarterback in NFL history. It follows only Justin Jefferson’s four-year, $140 million extension with the Minnesota Vikings, which he secured in June.

At 25 years old, Lamb chose to skip Cowboys training camp while looking for a contract that matched his skills as a top wide receiver. Since being drafted in 2020, he has proven himself on the field. Last season, he was named a first-team All-Pro after catching 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, plus two rushing touchdowns.
He is a three-time Pro Bowler who has achieved three consecutive seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, creating one of the top quarterback-receiver duos in the NFL alongside Dak Prescott.
Lamb was poised to begin the final year of his rookie contract, set to earn $17.9 million this season due to the fifth-year option that the Cowboys had activated. His new extension aligns his pay with the surging wide receiver market, which has seen contracts exceeding $30 million per season for players like Jefferson, A.J. Brown, and Amon-Ra St. Brown this offseason.

This agreement brings some clarity to a season filled with uncertainty in Dallas and allows Lamb to return to practice with just two weeks left before the season kicks off. The Cowboys are scheduled to start their regular season on September 8 against the Cleveland Browns.
