The Atlanta community is set to honor the beloved rapper Rich Homie Quan with a Celebration of Life, following his unexpected passing on September 5.
Scheduled for September 17 at 11 a.m., the Celebration of Life will be held at World Changers Church International, located at 2500 Burdett Road in College Park. In addition to the main ceremony, a public viewing will provide an opportunity for fans and loved ones to pay their respects from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Rich Homie Quan, who burst onto the music scene in 2011, gained widespread recognition with his 2013 hit “Type of Way.” His career continued to flourish with the release of the successful single “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” in 2015. Over the years, he was recognized with multiple nominations for prestigious awards, including BET Hip Hop Awards for Best New Artist and Best Club Banger in 2014 and 2015, as well as an iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination for Hip Hop Song of the Year in 2016.

Sadly he passed away at the age of 32z According to a police report, Quan was discovered by his brother on the kitchen floor around 3 a.m. on September 5. His brother attempted to provide assistance by moving him to the couch. Later that morning, his girlfriend found him unresponsive after returning home from taking their child to school. The cause of death is still under investigation, with an autopsy conducted recently; it usually takes several weeks for results to be made public. The circumstances surrounding his death still remain unclear.
