Katy Perry Showing Her G-String Told She’s ‘Too Old For This’

Katy Perry faced backlash for her 2024 Billboard Women In Music appearance earlier this year. In March, the 39-year-old flaunted her slimmed-down figure in a corseted red outfit as she hit the red carpet in L.A., but rearview snaps showing an exposed thong left fans disappointed. Rocking a criss-cross top and skirt combo as she chose a bold color shade, Katy checked boxes for flaunting her headline-making weight loss, but it looked like the internet was growing tired of her fashion choices. When The Daily Mail shared photos of the “Lifetimes” singer, users slammed her, with a hugely popular comment deeming her “too old for this.”

All smiles as she peeped her toned abs while rocking a strapless bustier top and long skirt, Katy added peplum accents to her look, going fitted with her skirt and with a flirty, frill-structured hemline around her lower calves. Layering her red skirt over a gray layer beneath it, the pop singer flaunted her curves as she went braless, teaming her coordinating outfit with a massive pair of chunky platforms in black.

Flashing her high-waisted black G-string in front-facing photos, Katy offered the cameras a naughtier view in other shots, highlighting her tiny waist as she upped the ante in her visible lingerie. Looking glam as she teamed her bold red lip to her two-piece, the “Woman’s World” singer also wore a blunt bangs hairdo complete with a ponytail, adding chic drop pearl earrings to match her necklace.

Fans seemed out to hate on Katy from the get-go. “Bring back class!” the leading comment reads. Meanwhile, over 300 fans upvoted a comment reading: “Katy Perry looks too old for this behavior, old and tired.” Gaining a similar number of likes, a third said: “I’m not prudish, but these cut-outs have got to stop. They all look so trashy. Remember when musicians and singers were known for their music, not for how much flesh they showed?”

Katy has been working hard to promote her music comeback, but she’s also been letting loose. In late August, the singer showed off her steely-strong abs in a minuscule snakeskin co-ord for a night out, sharing the above look on her Instagram. Going thigh-skimming as she wore matching elbow gloves and black knee boots, the mom of one added shades, writing:

“They say I do it for the male gaze but the truth is I do it for the MALE GAYSSSS. Thank you @evitaparty for hosting a fabulous party last night 143. i love you.” Katy Perry’s new 143 album is due for release on September 20.
