It’s been a little over a month since Brittany Renner unveiled her new modest look. Now, the social media commentator is opening up about how her income has taken a hit since then.
Renner told fans in early August that the universe had sent her “signs” of needing a lifestyle switch-up. During the announcement, she wore a black khimar, a headscarf that covered her head, neck, and shoulders. At the time, she admitted to feeling unsure about how her next chapter would unfold. Additionally, she shared that she still had contractual obligations to fulfill in her former, more revealing attire.
Brittany Renner Says Modest Look Is Tanking Her Financial Stability
Well, now it seems like that financial well has dried up. Starting on August 3, her Instagram feed shows a major contrast between her forms of dress. She went from showing off her curvy figure in shorts, cropped tops, swimsuits, and tank tops to fully covering all her limbs and selectively wearing make-up. In a new video posted on Sept. 13, Brittany, who was wearing a headscarf, talked about struggling financially.
“I’ve gone through a lot of changes internally, and as a result, my outer world has completely crumbled,” Renner said, stifling a laugh. “Wow! I’m incredibly uncertain in just about every area. I have no idea where I’m going to live or how I’m going to provide for my son. But Allah has moved mountains for me and I trust that this will be no different.”
For context, Brittany Renner has a toddler son with Dallas Mavericks plater P.J. Washington. The former couple welcomed their first and only child together in 2021. That same year, the 32-year-old denied internet allegations of “trapping” the 26-year-old. According to VIBE, Renner previously suggested Washington’s monthly child support payments are capped at $2,500.
In her new video, Renner followed up by comparing herself to Alice when she gets stuck in a too-small house in the fairytale ‘Alice In Wonderland.’ She said she’s “outgrown” where she’s at and that “the facade is fading.”
“I’m at a place where I don’t want anything that doesn’t have my name on it. Take it away. They serve no purpose here and I don’t want a penny more than what I’m meant to have because I can do a lot with a little.”
