A former warden has claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs faces the possibility of grave danger while being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The facility is considered one of the toughest in the US and has held several other high-profile individuals in the past.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is being detained at the facility after being denied bail twice despite proposing a $50 million bond as part of his bail package.

Former Warden Reveals Why Diddy Is ‘In Danger’ At MDC Facility Ahead Of His Trial

Speaking with TMZ, former MDC warden Cameron Lindsay revealed that Diddy isn’t in for a smooth ride during his detention at the facility while awaiting his sex crimes trial.

He claimed that the rapper’s life is “in danger,” as there is a strong possibility that some of the inmates will be out for him.

According to the former warden, some inmates might be motivated to kill Diddy, not out of revenge or conspiracy but as a way to earn a “badge of honor” since the rapper is deemed a high-profile individual.

However, it seems federal prosecutors anticipated this possibility and opted to keep Diddy away from the general population.

Sources have claimed he is being held in a Special Housing Unit designed for high-profile individuals.

This particular section of the facility might have previously housed notable figures such as R. Kelly, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Michael Cohen, all of whom had temporary stints at the MDC while awaiting their respective trials.

Diddy Has Been Denied Bail Twice

Lindsay’s revelation comes after Diddy was denied bail for the second term despite proposing an amended bail package to secure his freedom while awaiting trial.

The first denial came during a Tuesday hearing where he was arraigned on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

At the time, Judge Robyn Tarnofsky, who presided over the hearing, ruled that she was not convinced he would appear in court if released, siding with the federal prosecutors claims that the rapper is a flight risk.

The second attempt came the following day in the same courtroom, presided over by a different judge, Andrew L. Carter.

However, that, too, was turned down by the new judge, who ruled that if Diddy was released on bond, there was a possibility of witness tampering and obstruction in the case.

After the unsuccessful attempt, Diddy was removed from court and returned to the detention center, where he will remain until his trial.

The Disgraced Music Producer Intends To Prove His Innocence During Trial

While a trial date has yet to be fixed, Diddy intends to prove his innocence whenever that day eventually arrives.

“He’s going to clear his name, and we’re going to stand by his side as he does. We believe in him wholeheartedly. He did not do these things,” said his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, to the press on Tuesday.

He added, “We will fight this case with everything we have… and eventually [Diddy] will be shown to be innocent.”

Agnifilo, who has worked on other controversial cases in the past, had earlier claimed that federal prosecutors were unjustly prosecuting Diddy.

He also claimed that Diddy is not a criminal and has “been nothing but cooperative with this investigation,” as seen by his decision to “voluntarily relocate” to New York last week before the charges were brought against him.

Diddy’s Arrest Comes After Months Of Investigation

Diddy’s arrest and charges come after months of investigation into him, which was kickstarted by his now-settled sexual assault case with his ex, Cassie Ventura.

The investigation included raids on his residences that led to the discovery of several incriminating videos, high-caliber weapons, and sex items related to his sexual orgies described as “Freak Offs.”

This evidence may have helped convince a grand jury to indict him and will likely play a central role during his trial.

During his trial, multiple witnesses from both the defense and the prosecuting sides might be called, but there are no details yet as to who they might be.

If Diddy is eventually found guilty, he might spend at least 15 years in prison or a life sentence in a worst-case scenario.

The Rapper’s Lawyer Says His ‘Freak Offs’ Were Not ‘Criminal’

As Diddy spends time in jail while awaiting trial, his lawyers have been very vocal with their claim that the rapper is “innocent.”

During a recent appearance on NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, slammed the charges against the rapper, noting that the alleged “Freak Offs” he participated in were simply a “lifestyle.”

Geragos told host Chris Cuomo: “A lifestyle and being present in activities doesn’t mean he committed a crime. Those activities and the lifestyle is (sic) not criminal.”

She also said that since federal prosecutors did not mention during Diddy’s arraignment that these encounters were non-consensual for the women, it suggests the rapper’s innocence.

“What was notable today, what my partner Mark said in court, is they never once said that these women didn’t consent to what happened, not once,” Geragos stated.
