Veteran post-hardcore band Pierce the Veil took an alt-pop turn on their new album, The Jaws of Life, and it closes out with “12 Fractures,” a collaboration with rising singer chloe moriondo (who shouted out PTV in her song “Favorite Band” and had them make a cameo in the video). Today, the song was given a new Marc Klasfelddi-directed video, starring PTV singer Vic Fuentes and moriondo on their own amid crowded city streets. They eventually find each other… but it’s not the ending you expect. Watch below.
Fuentes told Kerrang that the song was inspired by seeing a friend’s relationship “crumble before my eyes.” “I don’t know if you’ve ever had any friends go through divorce, but you are friends with both of them, and they’ve become family,” he said. “And then when they break apart, it’s your family breaking apart. It’s hard to watch.”
