Diddy and his legal team have accused the federal government of orchestrating the release of Cassie’s assault video. New legal documents claim that federal agents orchestrated the leak to CNN.

The video, which has circulated on social media and major news outlets, shows Diddy and Cassie in a hallway of a Los Angeles hotel during their past relationship, with the mogul assaulting her. However, legal documents filed by Diddy’s team have accused the Department of Homeland Security of misconduct in his criminal case, and they are not blaming the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
His legal team requests an evidentiary hearing in which the judge assesses the situation and determines the appropriate legal remedy. As reported by TMZ, the hearing would allow the court to investigate the accusations of federal misconduct further and decide on a course of action.

Additionally, Diddy criticizes how federal agents handled raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. He claims the raids were overly aggressive, alleging that agents even handcuffed his children during the operation.
Second, in advance of that hearing, this Court should order relevant discovery from the government. This should include any emails and text messages by any government attorneys or law enforcement agents regarding these and any other leaks of information about the investigation or prosecution of this case.”
Meanwhile, the legal team has requested for an April or May trial date regarding sex trafficking allegations :
“Mr. Combs continues to assert his right to a speedy trial and intends to request a trial date in April or May 2025, as consistent with the Court’s trial schedule,”
