Netflix’s animated series Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is anticipating developments regarding the show’s future. Set in the year 0079, the narrative follows the rebellion of the Principality of Zeon against the Earth Federation. However, the series’ future remains uncertain, and some are worried it might get canceled. As fans await further announcements, whether Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will be renewed for Season 2 or face cancellation is unclear.

Let’s explore all the details of the show’s future.

Is Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance canceled or renewed for Season 2?

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is neither canceled nor renewed for Season 2.

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Season 1 officially debuted on Netflix on October 17, 2024. This sci-fi animated show consists of six episodes, all 24 minutes long. In the gripping finale, we witness Captain Solari struggling with survivor’s guilt following a devastating convoy attack. In a courageous move, she chooses to remain behind to ensure a safe escape route to the spaceport.

The series’ story unfolds on the European front of the Earth, depicting what happened a year after the Revolutionary Wars kicked off. It’s told from the viewpoint of the Principality of Zeon, who have launched an invasion to battle their harsh rulers, the Earth Federation Force, also known as the EFF.

Currently, Netflix has neither canceled nor confirmed the renewal of Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Season 2. Moreover, producers have not provided updates regarding the potential greenlight for a second season. The decision remains uncertain, hinged on the performance of the current episodes in terms of viewership.

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance’s voice cast features Grant Waters, Maurice Shelton, Celia Massingham, and numerous others.

All Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Season 1 episodes are currently available for streaming on Netflix. The streaming giant remains the top entertainment platform worldwide, hosting a wide range of TV shows, movies, documentaries, comedy specials, live events, and Netflix original productions.
