It’s been nine months since comedian Corey Holcomb was slammed in the media for calling his daughter a “b—h” on his podcast. Now, he’s again again making controversial statements that have left viewers fuming.
Holcomb was the most recent guest for Cam Newton’s podcast Funky Friday, where he got candid about relationships and how he picks a certain type of woman to be with for his own benefit.

Newton asked Holcomb to elaborate on his ideology of dating “women in poverty.” Holcomb quickly responded, “Well I’m older now so women in poverty, I can control them better. A girl who can’t afford to say ‘F—k you Corey, I’m gone.’ She just can’t afford to do it. So I take advantage of that. Now, that might be wrong but her poverty and my needs most of the time, it even out. I don’t really need a lot of their time. And they don’t tell me to f—k off because they know when I come over their children can get some outlet Jordans.”
The clip, which was shared on The Shade Room’s Instagram, received a lot of angry responses from viewers. One person said, “It should be studied how men can talk SO badly about ‘gold diggers’ and women who ‘just want a meal’ but in the same breath hinge their ability to get women on the fact that they have money.”
Another person wrote, “So he’s preying on women who have low self-esteem and/or struggling to make ends meet. Basically kicking a woman while she is down to stroke his ego. That’s a mess.”
Other men came with opinions that contrasted Holcomb’s in the comments as well. One man wrote, “I fw Corey but he doesn’t speak for all of us. I want nothing more than to come home to the same person everyday for the rest of my life. Beautiful women are a dime a dozen now. Beautiful souls are becoming extremely rare nowadays.”
Someone else wrote, “Ay Corey I’m 36, single, no kids, and I have ‘means’ & I’m here to tell you sir I’m tired & would take the right one and sit down. It’s not even fun out here no more & people really be having a STD ð I’m going on Love Is Blind next season the streets are dead.”
But that’s not the only thoughts that were shown in the clip. Holcomb also told Netwon that he didn’t believe “monogamy exists.”
“I think every once in a while you meet a dude and he only with his girl. It’s very rare,” he said. “We are men – especially men who have means. If you a man who has means you have women. And if you say it ain’t true you not being genuine.”
Holcomb continued telling men to imagine how good the relationship could be if they picked women they could really talk to.
“But you didn’t pick a girl you could talk to for real you picked a girl that you willing to act for as long as you can keep her. But we men, we got money. Especially men who got money, you got girls. You can’t not be with them. It’s too many beautiful women in the world to just lie to just one girl and be like ‘look I’m only with you.’ That’s some bullshit man. Get the f—k out of here I can’t be with nobody like that.”
This comes months after Holcomb received backlash in January for calling his daughter the b-word multiple times on his podcast The Corey Holcomb 5150 Show. The topic of discussion was about how Holcomb believes this generation of children are disrespectful.
Using his daughter as an example, Holcomb claimed his daughter contacted him because she “need something” and went on to explain that he felt like her problem is that she was raised by her mother. He said his daughter then accused him of hating his mother.
He said, “‘B—h, I ain’t got time to hate nobody,” before adding, “now here it is all these years later you act just like your mama. Both of y’all can kiss my motherf—g ass. I’ll go make another daughter. I don’t give a f—k. If you ain’t good as a person no matter who you are I have a cut off switch God blessed me with to say f—k you motherf—r. I don’t give a f—k if it’s my kid.”
