Teresa Giudice revealed why she “never got close” to Margaret Josephs, shared how the costar allegedly “sabotaged” Danielle Staub’s marriage, and suggested that Margaret’s tactics ultimately led to Real Housewives of New Jersey being “over.”
In 2018, Danielle tied the knot with fiancé Marty Caffrey. Three months later, reports surfaced that they were divorcing. In recent seasons, stars have accused Margaret of going after the marriages of costars she doesn’t like.
The latest season featured the biggest divide in the show’s history, as one side barely filmed with the other. The ratings also took a hit, and the show is now on hiatus, with reports surfacing that a major cast shakeup is ahead.
On her Turning The Tables podcast, Teresa claimed Margaret told Marty “not to marry [Danielle]” on the day before their wedding.
“[She was] saying all this stuff to Marty about Danielle,” said Teresa. “She basically sabotaged their relationship.”
Guest Kim “D” DePaola called this “treacherous.”
“They were friends,” Teresa recalled. “And that’s why I never got close to Margaret, because I saw [that] she did this … [like] she did it to Siggy [Flicker]. She hurts people.”
“Marty and Danielle had a beautiful relationship,” she continued. “And that happens, you know. People can sabotage relationships … [Marty] adored Danielle.”
She hinted that Margaret was possibly “jealous” of Danielle’s past relationship, and she revealed that Danielle “yanked” Margaret’s hair so hard in season 10 because of what Margaret “did to her” relationship.
“That came out of how [Margaret] treated her,” she said. “What she was doing to her.”
Teresa also said that, before the hair pull, Margaret would constantly “trash” Danielle behind her back.
“You can’t believe anything that comes out of Margaret’s mouth,” she said. “I’ve witnessed it firsthand. She lies through her teeth.”
The ‘OG’ suggested that Margaret’s sabotaging created the cast divide that ultimately led to the show being “over.” Kim D hinted that Margaret has an “obsession” with Teresa and her husband Luis Ruelas.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is now in hiatus, and the fate of the show is still a mystery.
