Zingara, bass music’s spiritual sojourner, opens a new passageway through the cosmos with her new EP, For The Crystal Children.
The conceptual EP’s four tracks place life and time under a microscope, all kicked off by Zingara’s personal indoctrination through the title titular track, “For The Crystal Children.”
“When it was time to start brainstorming new ideas, this concept popped into my head,” Zingara said in a statement. “The Crystal Children are souls that volunteer to come to Earth to help the collective learn to love and heal.”
From there, the EP bursts into a kaleidoscope of color and sound, with Maurice Brown and Steller joining the expedition. An undeniable highlight of the EP is when both join Zingara for its final track, “Rhythm of Life,” which is saturated with jazzy saxophone melodies and the sounds of dripping water, mixed and distilled into an otherworldly potion.
Zingara’s is now embarking on her headlining “For The Crystal Children Tour,” which kicks off today in Urbana, Illinois, with 14 other US locations to follow. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
