Mia Thornton opened up about her decision to detail Karen Huger‘s butt dial three years after it happened on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday night.
After sharing on The Real Housewives of Potomac that the call had happened the morning after a night out on Karen’s way home from a mystery location, Mia, 39, denied the tea was stale. She also addressed Karen’s spat with Jacqueline Blake, 39, reacted to Ashley Darby‘s drama with Keiarna Stewart, 36, offered updates on boyfriend Incognito and estranged husband Gordon Thornton, 72, and more.
“It’s not stale,” Mia stated of Karen’s butt dial on the November 3 episode of WWHL, noting that when it comes to blabbing to the cast about Karen’s past, she “only [swipes] to the left.”
During Sunday’s RHOP episode, Karen went after Jacqueline, accusing her ex of having “25 convictions” as she shaded her for potentially standing by him.
In response, Mia suspected Karen, 61, targeted Jacqueline because she didn’t want to deal with her.
“I think it’s a lot to take in, but I will say that Karen knows that she didn’t want any smoke from Mia. So she went after Jacqueline,” Mia stated.
Also regarding Jacqueline’s ex and their potential reconciliation, Mia said, “Oh gosh, no, we don’t want it to happen.”
After filming with Incognito for season nine, Mia admitted that the show has been challenging for the radio DJ.
“Everything is going well. [But] this is a lot for him,” she explained. “I don’t think that he knew he’d be, like, the ninth Housewife. I think he thought he was gonna be supporting cast, and he’s used to people hearing him and not seeing him. He’s in a studio.”
Things are also going well between Mia and Gordon, who she confirmed is now dating.
“I don’t really talk to him that much right now. He has a girlfriend. She has clocked in. And I have passed the torch. I think it’s amazing .. . She’s under 35. She is 30 to 35,” Mia revealed.
While Mia and Jacqueline had a heart-to-heart during Sunday’s episode, Mia admitted that she’s often annoyed with what her longtime friend says in her confessionals.
“I mean, everything she says makes me say… [tilts head]. But I actually do appreciate people telling me their honest opinions. I wish people had the balls to say it to my face,” she noted.
Moving on to Ashley, 36, questioning Keiarna about her forehead scar, which she sustained during a fight years ago, Mia said, “I’m gonna say [that was] messy.”
As she played a game with host Andy Cohen, 56, in which she was asked to answer questions about Karen, Mia denied she was wearing her La Dame perfume.
“No, that’s for 45 plus. My mom loves it. She does. I don’t want to smell like my mother. I did [give her some]. She loves it,” Mia replied.
She then confirmed it was a re-gift.
“[Karen] gifted us a whole gift set for Christmas one year, and yes, I did give it to my mom,” she confessed.
After watching as Stacey Rusch ran to Karen to tell her what she’d said about her needing rehab, Mia surprisingly applauded her castmate.
“I told Stacey so she could run and go tell Karen, so she did her job,” Mia reasoned.
Although Mia previously suggested that Stacey was “boring,” she told Andy she loves her.
“The couple times I was with her I was like, ’It’s like pulling teeth.’ But I actually enjoy her. She’s amazing. I’m a Stacey fan,” she clarified.
Looking back at Wendy’s statement about “with friends like these, who needs enemies,” which came after Mia blasted Karen’s butt dial, Mia asked, “Who needs enemies when you have friends like me?”
Mia then reacted to Gizelle Bryant, 54, offering an apology to her and her co-stars for kicking them out of her GnA event.
“I thought hell was gonna freeze over. I wasn’t prepared and I wasn’t ready. I didn’t expect it. I thought she was gonna ride it till the cows go home, but no, she’s in a different space, and I’m here for it,” Mia noted, suspecting that Gizelle’s new mindset was the result of Robyn Dixon‘s absence from the cast.
“That’s probably why she’s in a different space. For sure. She doesn’t have her sidekick,” Mia stated.
Regarding who she still speaks to from the former cast, Mia noted Nneka Ihim.
“I love them all. Nneka and I actually did hang out in Atlanta. We had a good time. Love Nneka,” she shared. “Robyn’s working so she’s a little busy. She has a real job now. I haven’t seen [Candiace Dillard Bassett], but Candiace is also at home nesting. But I did think about her today cause I need to send her a gift.”
Continuing on about Karen, Mia said she could not learn “a darn thing” from Karen’s Grande Dame University and accused her of taking “zero” accountability for her DUI accident. She also said that what she’s learned from Karen’s handling of daggers is “to deflect,” and she named Gizelle as the cast member who soldiers for Karen the most.
Also on the show, Mia said that she does watch other Real Housewives shows.
“[The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City]. I tried to get into [The Real Housewives of New York City]. I tried,” she shared.
The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
