Lil Durk’s legal troubles recently increased with additional charges in his felony case.
According to new reports, the “Stand by Me” rapper has been accused of being the ringleader in the assassination of Quando Rondo’s cousin.
The feds slapped him with two new charges related to the case, which they believed stemmed from retaliation for King Von’s death. The late rapper and Lil Durk were so close; the latter took time off social media to process his death.

Lil Durk Reportedly Being Treated As The ‘Kingpin’ Behind The Assassination Plot
On Friday, November 8, Durk received two felony counts in his murder-for-hire case. He was accused of conspiracy and using interstate facilities to assist in the assassination of Quando Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson.
The feds were reportedly treating the rapper as the “kingpin” of the assassination plot in a superseding federal grand jury indictment. Prosecutors claimed Durk funded his Only The Family gang affiliates’ trip to California in August 2022.
The gang members allegedly stayed in a hotel room and stalked Rondo’s car before opening fire outside a Los Angeles gas station close to the Beverly Center shopping mall. The shooting saw Durk and five other co-defendants getting pinned for the crime, per TMZ.

The ‘All My Life’ Rapper And The Co-Defendants Haven’t Entered A Plea
According to the outlet, Durk and the five co-defendants have not entered a plea but are expected to be arraigned in federal court in Los Angeles in the coming weeks. The group has been detained since October following their arrest.
The Blast shared that Durk was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and booked into the Broward County Jail for conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire. Federal investigators believed the rapper and his associates attacked Rondo’s cousin in retaliation for King Von’s death.
The 26-year-old rapper, born Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was fatally shot on November 6, 2020, outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta. The tragic incident had six victims, three of whom died from their injuries.

Durk and Von were close friends and collaborators, so it was unsurprising how the “Viral Moment” rapper reacted to his death. Following the tragic shooting, he immediately deactivated his Instagram account.
Many believed Durk took a social media break to process his grief, given his closeness with Von. However, it might have something to do with another report that claimed the rapper was doing an Instagram Live when he learned about his pal’s death.
The embattled rapper eventually returned to Instagram to honor his late friend. He shared Von’s picture alongside the words: “MY TWIN GONE I LOVE YOU BABY BRO – D ROY !!!!!”

Nearly a year after Von’s demise, Durk returned to X to address his feelings. He confessed that it has been an emotional rollercoaster since losing the young rapper, but he tried to move on by focusing on his family.
“I be acting like I’m happy, but I’m really sad inside,” Durk revealed before declaring, “I want another son!!!!!” His desire for more children sparked positive responses from fans who implored his fiancée India Royale to grant his wish.
“Lol, India, give that man a son,” someone joked. Meanwhile, others wondered if having a son would help Durk find happiness amid his grief.

Durk and his fiancée Royale have been inseparable since 2017. The pair enjoy a blossoming relationship that was strengthened with the birth of their first child, a daughter named Willow Banks.
They welcomed their bundle of joy in 2018, announcing her arrival through a heartfelt post on Royale’s Instagram. She shared cute pictures of her baby daughter, including a shot of her holding someone’s finger, presumably a family member’s.
