Competing against him in today’s game are manager Jonathan Fox from Massachusetts and English teacher Kathleen Clark from Connecticut. Here are the question and answer for Final Jeopardy on 11/12/2024, plus the wagers and the winner of the match.

Final Jeopardy Question for November 12

The Final Jeopardy question for November 12, 2024 is in the category of “Literary Monuments” and has the following clue:

A 112-foot-tall monument in a Madrid plaza depicts a writer seated above bronze statues of these 2 characters

The correct response to this clue has been placed at the bottom of this guide to prevent spoilers for the answer.

Final Jeopardy Wagers and Winner for November 12

In a tight match, the winner of the November 12 match was Joey for a second time. Unlike the prior episode, everyone got the right answer, so his slight lead coming into the segment was the key to his victory.

Joey had $14,400 and earned an extra $12,801 with his wager, finishing in first place with $27,201. His two-day total has grown to a solid $44,698.

Meanwhile, Jonathan increased his total from $13,600 to $18,000 after a $4,400 wager, and Kathleen doubled up her $7,600 to $15,200. They both wagered enough to win if Joey was incorrect, but he got the right answer again.

Final Jeopardy Answer for November 12

The correct answer for Final Jeopardy on November 12, 2024 is “Who is Don Quixote & Sancho Panza?’”

The statue mentioned in the clue refers to the Monument of Cervantes, which was commissioned by King Alfonso XIII in 1915. Located in the Plaza de España, it features a figure of Miguel de Cervantes standing above Don Quixote and his squire, Sancho Panza.

Later in the 1960s, statues of two female characters, Aldonza and Dulcinea, from “Don Quixote” were added to the monument. The statue of the Cervantes himself holds a copy of the famous book.

A satirical adaptation of the novel called “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” directed by Terry Gilliam was released in 2019.
