Jamie Lee Curtis is joining Don Lemon and getting rid of her X account which was formerly known as Twitter.
The 65-year-old actress revealed her exit from the social media platform through a direct post on Instagram on Wednesday, November 13. Curtis included a screenshot showing that she had deactivated her account. “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,” she said in the caption. “Courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference.”

The Oscar-winning actress announced her exit on the same day that The Guardian revealed it would no longer be active on the platform. We think that the benefits of being on X are now outweighed by the negatives and that resources could be better used promoting our journalism elsewhere,” The Guardianwrote in a statement shared to its website.
“This is something we have been considering for a while given the often disturbing content promoted or found on the platform, including far-right conspiracy theories and racism,” the outlet continued.
As we previously shared, former cable news anchor Don Lemon has announced that he is leaving X, the social media platform where he started a video show and content creation channel following his termination from CNN in 2021.
“I once believed that it was a place for honest debate and discussion, transparency and free speech,” Lemon announced in a new video posted on Wednesday. “But I now feel it does not serve that purpose.”

Lemon pointed out recent changes to X’s terms of service, claiming that the platform is particularly favorable to conservatives.
Despite his departure from X, the former cable commentator intends to continue sharing episodes of “The Don Lemon Show” on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
He joined X shortly after leaving CNN, but had several disagreements with the platform’s billionaire owner, Elon Musk, in the following months.
