Teddi Mellencamp is being accused of cheating on her husband, Edwin Arroyave, with her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder.
Following claims of infidelity against both sides, one of which came from Kelly Dodd, 49, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, has been exposed for an alleged months-long affair with the German-born trainer, whose wife ultimately confronted Teddi and informed Edwin, 47, of their relationship.
According to a new report, Teddi and Simon were together in Florida when his wife, Karli Postel, gave birth to their second child in California.
“Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth,” a source told the Daily Mail on November 13. “When Simon returned, Karli found text messages on Simon’s phone that exposed the affair. She confronted Simon and Teddi about it and they confessed. Teddi promised it would not happen again.”
“Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out. She was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him. But last month, Karli found proof that the affair was ongoing and that it had become ’emotional,’” the insider added.
Because Simon had cheated before, Karli was done with their marriage at that point, and she told Edwin about Teddi’s relationship with her spouse in October.
“Edwin only learned of the affair late last month when Karli told him,” the source shared.

As RHOBH fans likely saw, Teddi filed for divorce from Edwin after 13 years of marriage on November 1, citing October 20 as their date of separation (even though they were loved up at a charity event days after). Meanwhile, Edwin claimed in his response documents that they had separated on November 1.
According to the Daily Mail’s insider, Teddi filed quickly after realizing she was caught.
“She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery. It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around,” the insider noted.
As the outlet explained, Teddi and Simon reportedly got close during the time he was training her horse, Totally, aka “Toad.” And amid their professional-turned-personal relationship, Karli spoke of Teddi in posts shared to her since-deleted Instagram account.
In May, she congratulated Simon and Teddi after Toad was in a show.
“So beyond proud of Simon’s hard work with Teddi Mellencamp’s Totally!” she had written. “Beautiful consistent rounds at the Devon Horseshow in the High Performance… a huge feat from where Simon & Toad’s journey began … Can’t wait to watch Teddi take on the weekend.”
In response, Teddi “liked” the post and followed Karli.
Teddi, who shares three kids with Edwin, including son Cruz, 10, and daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, also shared posts praising Simon, the latest of which was shared about 12 weeks ago and spoke of the “excellent rides” she was getting as a result of him working with her horse.
“Thank you [Schroeder Sport Horses]… for always being team Toad,” Teddi wrote in one post. “I’m forever grateful to you for selling me the most fun horse I have ever ridden.”
And just moments ago, Teddi took to her Instagram to share a cryptic post while not denying the affair claims. She posted a solo picture of herself with the caption: “When you’re being pushed into the shadows always find your light.”
The comments under her post, which she shared just 30 minutes ago, are currently turned off.
