Oop! Soulja Boy is reacting to Plies’ copyright infringement lawsuit, calling the Florida rapper a “snitch” and a “broke a** n***a” for waiting over 10 years to put in a claim, even though Soulja doesn’t think Plies has a case.

Earlier this month, we shared that Plies filed a lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Soulja Boy, claiming they stole the beat to his 2008 song “Me & My Goons.” He claimed the two femcees used his beat on their new song “Wanna Be” and that Soulja used his 2008 beat on his 2010 hit “Pretty Boy Swag.” Days later, Megan’s producer, Max Julian aka Lil Ju Made Da Beat, chimed in and said “Wanna Be” sampled rapper Lil Wil’s 2006 hit “My Dougie.”
Soulja Boy is now responding to Plies’ copyright lawsuit and during a live on social media, he said, “Plies, if you don’t sit your broke a** down somewhere, n***a. What the f**k wrong with your cheap a*s, n***a? ‘Pretty Boy Swag’ is not your beat, n***a.”

In his live, Soulja Boy asked Plies, ‘So, you want to wait 10 years to try to sue a n***a for a beat? That is not your beat, crazy man. What the f**k is wrong with you, Plies? You need to change your name to ‘Lies,’ ‘cause you a motherf***ing liar, n***a. You know that ain’t your motherf***ing beat, broke a** n***a. What the f**k wrong with you? You should’ve just said, ‘Aye, bro. I’m broke. Let me hold something.’”
Soulja added, “Plies, if you don’t sit your bald-headed a** down somewhere, n***a. Your motherf***ing hairline is in the middle of your head, n***a. F**k out of here. That beat is all original music. You can only sue somebody if they sample your song and don’t get it cleared. That is not a sample. Broke a** n***a. Sit your broke a** down somewhere, n***a. The f**k wrong with you?”

Soulja Boy continued to slam Plies and his copyright lawsuit, asking him, “You know how much blood, sweat, and tears, I put into ‘Pretty Boy Swag,’ n***a? You trying to come and claim my sh*t, n***a? My sh*t don’t sound nothing like alike, n***a. F**k wrong with you? That is not a sample, n***a.” Soulja proceeded to emulate the beat on Plies’ track versus the beat on his and then said, “That don’t sound nothing alike. Man, sit your crackh*ead a** down somewhere, broke a** n***a.”
Soulja Boy kept dragging Plies and claimed the Florida rapper was jealous of his recent performance at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards that took place in Las Vegas last month. Soulja said, “Stop playing. N**a mad ’cause I’m up. N***a seen me perform at the BET [Hip-Hop] Awards and that was the last straw. The next day, I woke up to a lawsuit. Cheap a** n***a, stop reaching, n***a.”

Soulja then panned the camera to show himself standing inside his home and then he told Plies, “Go live right now and show me your mansion. Show me your mansion. Show me some foreign whips. Show me, n***a. Show me a million in cash and I’mma get off your as**. n***a.”
Soulja Boy continued to call out Plies and his lawsuit, claiming that was a “police” move. He said, “That’s some police sh*t. You tried to sue a n***a? I thought you was a gangsta? I thought you was a goon? I thought was a real gangsta or a real goon? You could’ve come and got that sh*t back in blood, n***a. You gon’ go snitch to the White man, ‘He stole my beat.’ Police a** n***a. You a snitch.”
