It’s official! Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are engaged, and they made the big reveal in style at the 2024 Ebony 100 gala. The couple shared their exciting news while posing for cameras on the red carpet, and everyone is talking about it.
Reflecting the Black excellence of Ebony100, Meagan and Jonathan slayed the event’s carpet. Meagan stole the show in a slinky, gold sequined gown that shimmered with every move. She swept her faux locs up in a high ponytail and her makeup was glamorous.
Her fiancé matched her fly in a sleek gray suit with subtle gold details. The tailoring of his suit was immaculate.

In the face of public scrutiny, Meagan and Jonathan found love.
It goes without saying that the newly engaged pair have had a pretty public – and controversial – relationship. They started dating in May 2023, right after Jonathan’s legal issues hit the headlines.
But Meagan held him down, often seen hand in hand with him outside of courtrooms and appearances. Jonathan made headlines for describing her as his “Coretta.“

Despite the public eye and constant commentary, these two have been going strong for months. They made their first red carpet debut together at the African-American Film Critics Association Awards in March of 2024. At the time, they told the press “they were doing well.“
Then, the two walked the red carpet at the 2024 NAACP Theatre Awards, the BET Awards carpet, and several other industry events. As recently as this July, Meagan has candidly discussed her love and admiration for her forever bae.
Appearing on the TODAY Show, she described their relationship as “wonderful.” She said, “The support we’ve been able to give to each other, the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care, and the thoughtfulness, it’s been really wonderful.”

Now, the couple is stepping into the next chapter of their journey together. We are here for it. Their bond has grown in the face of challenges and public scrutiny, and their happiness radiated on the red carpet.
