More than a month after his deadly fall in Argentina, Liam Payne has been laid to rest. His parents, additional family, friends and former One Direction bandmates all gathered in England for the memorial service. As previously reported, Liam passed away on Oct. 16 after falling from a third-story balcony in a Buenois Aires hotel. He was 31 years old.

Liam Payne’s Memorial Service Details
According to USA Today, the funeral was held in Amersham, England at St. Mary’s Church. The location is reportedly about half an hour away from London, and near his hometown, Wolverhampton. The family ultimately decided to hold a private memorial service for the singer, so it’s unclear who spoke and what was said. Fans reportedly gathered on the outskirts of the church, and press set up a media area, per USA TODAY.
Media photos show Liam Payne’s grieving parents, Karen and Geoff Payne in tears while their son’s body arrived at the church. A white, horse-drawn carriage decorated with red and white flowers carried the casket. Then, four pallbearers brought it inside.
As mentioned, Liam’s former collaborators and other loved ones were also in attendance. The guest list included Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson. Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy, was also there.
The former One Direction members released a joint statement last month after reports of Liam’s death consumed the headlines. So did Kate.
