WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have encountered a major setback. During the latest SmackDown, an unknown attacker assaulted Jade Cargill, leaving her bloodied on a car windshield backstage.

February 6-8 Box Office Recap – For Super Bowl weekend, ‘Send Help’ stays at #1, crossing $50M worldwide. ‘Solo Mio’, ‘Stray Kids’ and ‘Dracula’ over-perform projections, while ‘The Strangers: Chapter 3’ flops with just $3.4M. ‘Zootopia 2’ crosses $1.8 billion worldwide.

Bianca Belair, who was competing in the Women’s United States Championship Tournament at the time, witnessed the brutal attack on her tag team partner. Disturbed by the incident, Belair abandoned her match. She had been facing Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport, with Green pinning Davenport to advance in the tournament as Belair rushed backstage.

Reports later confirmed that Jade Cargill suffered an undisclosed injury. To write her off the television, the angle involving the unknown attacker was planned. Amidst this, the question now arises — what happens to the Women’s Tag Team Championship? With Bianca Belair’s partner, Cargill, out of action for an extended period, many wonder what is next for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

WWE plans to strip Bianca Belair of tag team titles after Jade Cargill’s injury

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are currently holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Now, new details about the future of the titles have surfaced. Reports from the Backstage Pass Q&A from WrestleVotes indicate that WWE plans to strip Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill of their titles.

Currently, there is no update on when WWE plans to announce the stripping of the titles. It remains unclear whether the promotion will hold a tournament to crown new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The Women’s Tag Team Titles faced similar issues last year when Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez both suffered injuries during separate title reigns in 2023, resulting in the titles being vacated. This time, WWE is reportedly planning to strip the titles from the current holders once again.

It will be interesting to see what comes next for Bianca Belair. At the moment, fans are curious to know whether she will team up with a new partner, or focus on a singles career.
