Matt Charman, the screenwriter behind Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, is developing a serial killer drama series titled Prisoner.
The series is “a relationship drama that dives into what a serial killer can teach an ordinary person about what it takes to survive in his world.”
The project is set up at Sky, and Charman is set to write the show and serve as showrunner. Casting is underway, and it’s expected to shoot next year.
Charman also worked on projects such as the Amazon original Killer Heat, which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt; and Oasis. He also executive produced Operation Finale, about the hunt for Adolf Eichmann. He was also set to make his feature film directorial debut with The Mothership starring Halle Berry but it was canceled by the streamer.
