Lauren Mia is forging a bold new path in her creative ventures with the launch of her own record label, Halcyon Records. The Los Angeles native and rising force in melodic techno has slated the launch of the imprint for early 2025.

Mia’s career has been defined by her ability to blend timeless techno influences with a forward-thinking creative ethos, and her latest endeavor is no exception. The launch of Halcyon promises to be a home for music that channels the raw spirit of 90’s rave culture through a modern lens.

The label’s Berlin-inspired aesthetic stems from a transformative period in Mia’s journey. Earlier this year, she says, she immersed herself in the city’s storied club scene, where minimalist beats and analog textures sparked a deeper appreciation for dance music’s raw, unfiltered origins. Halcyon will be her platform to explore these influences on her own terms, presenting a carefully curated roster of music that resonates with the spirit of underground culture.

“I found it fascinating to hear these old-school trends resurfacing in the clubs and resonating with younger generations, which motivated me to infuse my own perspective into this revival,” Mia explains. “As a female electronic music producer and DJ, I aim to celebrate and reimagine the timeless spirit of that vibrant musical landscape with Halcyon.”

The venture is named after her new single “Halcyon,” which marks her debut release on Armin van Buuren’s venerated Armada label. You can listen to the new track below and find it on streaming platforms here.
