In a candid interview with ET, the reality star didn’t hold back, calling the current season of RHOBH “garbage” and criticizing it for being a “train wreck” and “sad TV.”
While fans are always eager for the latest season to unfold, Brandi Glanville didn’t mince words when it came to her thoughts on the latest episodes. “It’s garbage… It’s a train wreck,” she said, adding, “It’s really sad TV. But I can’t stop watching.” It’s clear that Brandi’s no-nonsense attitude remains unchanged, even when it comes to her own reality TV roots.
One of the most talked-about storylines this season is the fallout between long-time friends Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley. Brandi Glanville made some intriguing comparisons between their drama and her own past experience with Lisa Vanderpump (LVP). Brandi, who famously clashed with LVP on RHOBH in earlier seasons, sees a striking similarity between her former friendship with the Vanderpump Rules star and the current issues between Kyle and Dorit.
“I feel like Dorit’s the Brandi,” Brandi explained, drawing the parallel between her and Dorit’s situations. Brandi reflected on her own fallout with LVP, where she was encouraged by producers to call out Lisa for her alleged manipulation. In Brandi’s view, this manipulation is repeating itself, but this time it’s playing out between Kyle and Dorit. “The producers wanted me to call LVP out for her manipulation, and I did… Now who is this Dorit? I’ve never seen her before?” she said.
Brandi didn’t just stop at criticism of the show’s direction—she also threw some shade at Dorit herself. According to Brandi, she believes someone might be pushing Dorit to go after Kyle, saying, “I absolutely believe someone put up Dorit to go after Kyle.”
Brandi claims the producers have a hand in stirring up conflict between cast members, revealing that they often manipulate the situation. “The producers get in our ear. We think they’re our friends,” Brandi explained. She didn’t shy away from acknowledging that manipulation in reality TV is par for the course, but she clearly isn’t a fan of this repetitive storyline. “I mean, who cares if someone’s manipulative? It’s the exact same storyline. I’m like, ‘Kids, try something new,’” Brandi added with a laugh.
