Most fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City will agree that this is Mary Cosby‘s season. Not only did she and her son open up on the show about his battle with addiction, but she has also provided similar funny moments as she has in the past. Now, Mary is opening up about the upcoming reunion, where she stands with Meredith Marks, the advice she’d give to a new housewife, and more in a new interview.
As fans will recall, Mary had an emotional conversation with Robert Cosby Jr. on a recent episode of RHOSLC about his addiction. Many fans cried along with Mary, and it opened a discussion about reality stars being real on camera instead of creating fake drama.
Recently, the RHOSLC star attended Kathy Hilton‘s annual Christmas party and did an interview while there. Luckily, the Bravo Breaking News account on Instagram captured it for our viewing pleasure.
When asked how she was feeling post-reunion, Mary responded, “Good. I’m glad I stayed awake. I didn’t fall asleep, and then I’m certainly glad that some of the women, like Meredith and I, got it together.”
She then said, “Some of them are still going to stay in that rut and keep arguing about the same thing, not pushing the plot forward and not understanding that people don’t want to see that. Move on, you know?”
Of course, the interviewer also asked for an update on her son following the emotional episode from a couple of weeks ago. Mary said, “Robert’s doing so good. I was telling someone I don’t want to keep saying it because I don’t wanna jinx it, but he’s doing awesome.”
She added, “I could not be more proud of him. The last thing I wanted him to do was to get on national television and say what he was doing, which was, for me, a cry for help, and then not get help. He’s doing really good.”
The interviewer later asked Mary what advice she’d give a new housewife. She said, “Don’t trust anyone. No one. I’m gonna always lead with that because trust is earned. So just kind of find yourself and find your way and use your platform and your direction because I’m not in all the fussy and the drama and the fighting. I have my own life and my own thing, so this show doesn’t take over my life.
Fans can watch Mary on RHOSLC on Wednesday nights.
