Armin van Buuren has released this year’s “A State of Trance Year Mix 2024,” reinforcing his standing as one of the genre’s most influential flag-bearers.
Now in its 21st iteration, the mix show continues to serve as a sweeping narrative of trance’s evolution. Featuring 113 meticulously curated songs, the 2024 mix opens with a stirring introduction narrated by Moby, whose words encourage listeners to embrace the transformative power of the genre.
Armin van Buuren’s own productions shine throughout, including the “Club Mix” of his collaboration with Goodboys, “Forever (Stay Like This),” which reimagines the radio-friendly original hit with soaring synths to fit seamlessly within the mold.
