After JAY-Z was named in a sexual assault lawsuit, initially targeting Sean “Diddy” Combs, Dame Dash is now speaking on the topic and urging Hov to reach out to White media being that he “already controls Black media.”

As we previously shared, in early December, JAY-Z, born Shawn Carter, was named in an amended civil lawsuit alleging rape against Diddy, and now Hov. The woman first filed her lawsuit with Houston attorney Tony Buzbee in October and then amended her filing to reveal the name of one of two celebrities previously unnamed in her case. She alleged that when she was 13 the two moguls raped her at Diddy’s MTV VMAs after party in 2000.
Immediately after the lawsuit was filed and broke headlines, JAY-Z released a statement via his Roc Nation social media pages. He denied the claims and instead attacked the woman’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, calling him an ambulance chaser. The day after, JAY-Z and his attorney, Alex Spiro, took legal action against the unnamed woman and her lawyer. The mudslinging continued with back-and-forth petitions in court and posts on social media.

While recently sitting down with ‘The Art of Dialogue,’ Dame Dash, born Damon Dash, was asked how he felt about JAY-Z being named in a Diddy sexual assault lawsuit. He said, “Terrible accusation. I think what’s iller is how people are reacting to the accusation. Like, they’re putting them through the wringer, and I’ve never seen them do that before. So, that’s the thing. Usually, things get brushed under the rug with them. I’ve been accused of sh*t that I haven’t done before and people didn’t get as scrutinized as he’s getting.”
He continued, “So, it’s just odd to see him getting looked at in that way by White people. I hope that sh*t didn’t happen, but I’m like, damn, they turned the world… Like, people on a certain level have been f***ing with him in a certain way where he couldn’t do no wrong for like 25 years straight. This is the first time he’s not getting a pass with White media. He could control Black media ’cause a lot of them either work or do business with him. You know, ‘Drink Champs‘ can’t get him out of this one and neither can Charlamagne [Tha God]. ‘Cause those are the guys that hold him down no matter what he do anyway. So, he gotta get the ‘PEOPLE Magazine‘ and ‘Entertainment Tonight‘ right now ’cause they’re on his head.”
Dash added, “But, the question is why? Why now? ‘Cause for me, I’d be like, ‘Yo, that’s so ridiculous, yo, take that trial. You’re not gonna win. Let’s get a deposition or something.’ I don’t know why they’re on his head so much. But, I’ve never seen him in this position, to have to explain himself.”

When asked how he felt about JAY-Z’s denial statements after being named in a sexual assault lawsuit with Diddy, Dame Dash said, “I mean, I didn’t hear him say anything. I heard a piece of… I thought it was long for a statement. I thought it was long. But, I think right now, his silence is the worst thing for him. If he is innocent, he needs to let people ask him questions and he needs to be able to say his side of the story as opposed to letting that lawyer talk. I don’t trust that lawyer ’cause I went to court with him. So, to me, everything that guy says is allegedly a lie, just based on my experience with going to court with him. I don’t trust Alex Spiro. He’s an ill dude. He’ll say anything. He’s crazy.”
Dame added, “So, I wouldn’t have him talking for me. I’m not going to sit here and say anything bad or good or defend or do anything ’cause it’ll all play itself out. I just think it’s kind of ill that they’re on his head like that and he should probably come out and say something. I believe right now, everybody needs to be transparent. Back in the day, not saying something could have been the wave, but that was before social media. So, now that there’s social media and transparency, if you got an issue, you don’t let people speak for you you should speak for yourself and let people ask you questions, and go from there. That’s what I would do.”
