In the spirit of the season, DaBaby brought holiday cheer to his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, with his fourth annual ‘Kirk Pole’ holiday event. Held at Garinger High School, the event was a celebration and a beacon of support for the local community.

Organized by DaBaby and his charitable foundation, DaBaby Cares, the event was a vibrant affair filled with festive activities and essential community services. Attendees had the unique opportunity to meet Santa Claus and interact with DaBaby during a special meet-and-greet session. Adding to the excitement, the North Carolina Panthers drumline delivered a dynamic live-band performance that energized the crowd.
But the ‘Kirk Pole’ event was more than just entertainment. In a meaningful partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Charlotte, DaBaby aimed to shine a light on mental health issues. A resource activation table provided valuable information and support, helping to raise awareness and offer direct help to those in need. This initiative is part of a broader effort by DaBaby Cares to tackle mental health challenges, an issue close to the artist’s heart following the tragic loss of his brother, Glenn Johnson, to suicide.

The launch of DaBaby Cares earlier this year marked a significant milestone in DaBaby’s philanthropic journey. This foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and made headlines through its collaboration with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas. The partnership began with a Youth Town Hall at West Charlotte High School, where DaBaby distributed the Youth Mental Health 101 Resource Guide, providing students with essential mental health resources.
This year’s ‘Kirk Pole’ event brought joy to many and emphasized the importance of community support and mental health awareness. DaBaby continues to inspire through his commitment to making a difference in the lives of others, especially during the holiday season, turning it into a time of joy and much-needed support for those around him.
