The December 27 edition of NYT Strands is now available for players to solve. This unconventional word-seeking game provides players with a six-by-eight grid each day. It allows players to locate words in any random way rather than adhering to the idea of finding words in a set direction.

To start the game, individuals need to crack the puzzle’s theme and spangram initially. Here, the spangram means the one word which describes the overall theme of the game, spanning across two opposing sides of the grid. Once you’ve guessed the theme, jot down words associated with it and begin finding it on the grud. Your word search will become much more convenient with the hints and clues provided in this article. So, without any further ado, here are the hints and answers for today’s game.

Strands hint and theme for December 27

Today’s theme is Back in Style.

Theme’s hint: Today’s theme particularly refers to a past decade in fashion, which particularly gave rise to alternative trends: Think vibrant colors and patterns in clothing.

What are the Strands answers for today, December 27?

Spangram theme is EIGHTIES

The ‘E’ is the first letter of the third column that goes down to the final column to conclude the word with an ‘S’.

The spangram theme of the Eighties refers to an era where fashion clothing, including animal prints, bold colors, peppy styles, and others emerged.

Here’s a list of today’s words:

WINDBREAKER – The ‘W’ is in the second column, completing the word in the first row and column.

MULLET – The ‘M’ is placed in the second column and ends the word in the last row.

NEON – The ‘N’ is in the last column and makes up the word in an upward C manner.

SPANDEX – The ‘S’ is placed in the second row.

JUMPSUIT – The ‘J’ is in the fourth column, forming the word in a bit of a zig-zag manner.

PERM – The ‘P’ is in the last column, completing the word in an ‘N’ form, toward the left.
