Jennifer Lopez Leaves Out Ben Affleck From Her 2024 Recap Amid Divorce

In the mashed-up video, the actress only showcased special moments from her year, including cover shoots, performances, premiere appearances, and award shows.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from the “Accountant” star in August, and the duo is currently still mediating the split.

Having faced quite a year, Jennifer Lopez took to her Instagram page to share moments from her life as a commemorative reflection of how she spent 2024.

The video montage featured highlights from cover shoots, performances, premiere appearances, and award shows. However, the actress notably left out her soon-to-be ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Even in the segments showcasing her documentary, “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” Affleck was conspicuously absent, despite the project being inspired by her romance with the actor.

From all indications, it was an intentional omission by the “Atlas” star and signaled her readiness to leave behind the emotional weight of her ongoing divorce as she moves into the new year.

This was further suggested in one of the highlights, where she could be seen saying, “In my low moments, I’ve learned to just feel the feelings and then let them go.”

Lopez used the video to signal to fans her determination to reach new heights in the coming year, proclaiming, “The best is yet to come.”

Unsurprisingly, they responded with words of encouragement in the comments section, expressing their excitement for what the singer has in store.

One fan commented, “Love you! It’s been a tough year, but we are so excited for 2025,” while another mentioned, “On to an even bigger, better year! This Is Her…2025.”

A third fan remarked, “You did so amazing this year. I’m so proud of you. You are my great inspiration. I know that 2025 will be your great year, the best is yet to come!”

Another Instagram user mentioned, “The best is yet to come!! It’s been a tough year, but you are UNSTOPPABLE! We love you so much & and are at making the cut in this recap. Let’s get it, 2025!!”

One more person wrote, “You really are Unstoppable! Can’t wait to see everything you’re going to accomplish next.”

According to the Daily Mail, Lopez and Affleck met for lunch on the Sunday before Christmas at the members-only Soho House in West Hollywood.

The “Jenny From The Block” songstress donned a cozy, oversized cardigan and wide-leg blue jeans for the date and reportedly exchanged presents with the “Argo” actor despite filing for divorce from him in August.

That same day, Affleck was also spotted picking up his son from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s $7.8M four-bedroom Brentwood Park home.

It comes after a source told Page Six last week that the exes “have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved.”

The insider added, “Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids.”

Prior to the recap, Lopez hinted at her plans for the new year which includes “pushing my boundaries creatively and seeing where that takes me,” per the Daily Mail.

Being a multi-hyphenate, the actress shared that these plans extends through all her ventures, “whether that’s through acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty.”

She added, “I want to continue challenging myself to evolve and to try new things while all the while being true to who I am and those that I love.”

Already, the actress has several projects in the works, including the release of the musical “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”

Lopez stars in the titular role and also serves as an executive producer, with Bill Condon directing the project. The film is set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2025, although production wrapped earlier this year.

Earlier in the month, sources close to Lopez shared that she is keen on turning the page on the past ahead of the new year and is “focused on her own life.”

“She has had a rough year but is doing well,” an insider said about the mother of two, per People Magazine. “She’s ready for Christmas and to start the new year fresh.”

This Christmas, Affleck and Lopez spent the holiday separately, as expected. Sources revealed that Affleck celebrated with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children, while Lopez reportedly spent the festivities with her sister Lynda Lopez, producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, close friend Michelle Chiaravalle, and their kids.

The duo are still mediating their divorce after Lopez filed the papers in August to end their two-year marriage.
