Gravitas Ventures has released the trailer for an upcoming indie horror film titled When It Rains in LA, and the tagline reads: “It rarely rains in LA, but when it does, strange things happen…”
In the film, “Sasha (Monroe Cline), a beautiful young Eastern European woman, arrives in Los Angeles seeking refuge and a fresh start after the sudden death of her elderly boyfriend (Eric Roberts).
“Leaving behind the life she knew, she reconnects with old friends in LA, hoping to escape the haunting memories of her past. But as the rain begins to fall, strange & unsettling events unfold, leaving Sasha to confront the dark and mysterious forces surrounding her.
“An enigmatic woman emerges from the shadows, pushing Sasha to reckon with a past she’s tried to bury—and forcing her to face the chilling truths she has long denied.”
The movie comes from director David M. Parks and it doesn’t look very good. I love all the ridiculously fake-looking rain used in the trailer, though.
When it Rains in LA in select US theaters and on VOD starting on January 3rd, 2025.
