Caroline Brooks, star of The Real Housewives of Dubai, is not holding back when it comes to addressing the pause of her show and the future of the franchise. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she’s been sharing her perspective on what the cast was told after Bravo’s decision to put the series on hold. Responding to a tweet from @OMFGRealityTV, Caroline Brooks revealed the conversation that went down behind the scenes.
“We were told, ‘You guys are not being picked up for a third season, I’m really sorry because I feel like you guys deserved one. Thank you so much for two great seasons ladies. Wish you all the best of luck,’” Caroline explained. She added, “This is what #RHODubai was told, unfortunately. Happy New Year.”
In November, news broke that Bravo’s first international Housewives series, The Real Housewives of Dubai, was being paused indefinitely. Following her initial response, fans and followers began flooding Brooks with questions, many seeking clarity on what exactly had happened.
When a meme from The Real Housewives of Atlanta featuring Porsha Williams saying, “Who said that?” made the rounds, Caroline Brooks was quick to share more details. She explained that, during a group call with the cast, some of her co-stars thanked the network for the opportunity, while others were left in shock. “Some of us graciously thanked them for the opportunity, while others stayed silent in disbelief. The delusion is real—some think the show will return, but it was clearly stated: this was our last season.”
As for her personal reaction to the news, Caroline Brooks made it clear she wasn’t heartbroken over the pause. “Honestly, I’m not upset the show was canceled or paused—whatever term you prefer. It felt toxic, overly orchestrated, and many were hiding their true identities. Housewives should be authentic, not forced. I’m grateful for the opportunity, but not the experience.”
Addressing rumors about the reasons behind the show’s hiatus, particularly those suggesting it was due to Dubai’s laws, Caroline shot down the speculation. “Those rumors aren’t true. Every episode is approved by lawyers or officials to ensure it’s appropriate for TV in this region. If they thought laws were broken, the Dubai Film and TV Commission would’ve revoked our permits, and that didn’t happen. Don’t believe everything you read.”
But Brooks didn’t stop there. She also took a jab at former co-star Taleen, who had been vocal on social media about the show’s fate. “Taleen really thought she ate,” Caroline tweeted. “Now Instagram’s dragging her. If I’d known ‘cancelled’ would trigger her and her homegirls this much, I could’ve said ‘paused indefinitely’ to ease her mind. Same meaning though. She should’ve stayed quiet and not come for me. FACTS. #RhODubai”
It’s clear that Caroline is done holding back and is ready to speak her truth about the show’s pause, the people involved, and her experience on The Real Housewives of Dubai. While the future of the series remains uncertain, one thing’s for sure: Caroline Brooks is keeping it real.
