Carl Cox has shared his full Burning Man 2024 DJ set for Mayan Warrior, his first-ever performance for the beloved music and art collective.
Black Rock City was a living organism when Cox took the decks, turning the playa into an electric sunrise birthed from the ashes of tragedy. The iconic Mayan Warrior art car had been destroyed in a fire and rebuilt as the dazzling Galaxyer before debuting at last year’s event in the Nevada desert.
Cox performed as the sun kissed the horizon, throwing down a radiant set that felt more like a reclamation. The techno legend, ever the showman, took a moment to appreciate both the unforgettable atmosphere and the resurrection of the prized structure.
“Watching it rise from the ashes and return to the Playa was truly incredible,” he said in a statement today. “Relive this unforgettable sunrise with me and the amazing energy we created together. A moment that will last forever!”
