Dorinda Medley is opening up about where she stands with some of her former The Real Housewives of New York City co-stars, most notably Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and Luann de Lesseps.
During an interview with Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast, Dorinda touched on a number of topics, and she dropped a surprising bombshell when she revealed that Sonja has distanced herself from her former RHONY co-stars.
First, Dorinda discussed her current relationship with Ramona. She explained, “Ramona, I’ve known forever. Ramona’s been a huge part of my life. Like I said, she was pretty much the reason I came on the show. When you go on the show, it always changes the dynamic.”
In terms of them fixing their relationship, she said, “We actually worked everything out after the show ended. I wasn’t on the last season, so I didn’t really speak to her that whole season, and then when that ended, it kinda gave us some breathing space to really realize that we missed each other.”
She went on to say what made them come back together. According to her, “It just came to me one day during COVID. I’m like, I can’t let a show break our relationship. Our relationship is so much bigger than what the show is, but it’s hard when you’re in it.”
She then detailed their relationship today by saying, “I still talk to Ramona all the time. Ramona gives me all kinds of advice about dating and how I should be dating more.”
Dorinda also revealed that she and Luann de Lesseps often have coffee when they’re both in town.
However, she said she doesn’t talk to Sonja often and that Sonja often doesn’t return text messages until the following month. She also said Sonja doesn’t talk to many of the ladies very much and theorized on why that is.
“I don’t talk to Sonja so much, but I think Sonja doesn’t really talk to a lot of us so much,” shared Dorinda. “I think Sonja really goes into her own world. You text her, and then a month later, you hear back from her. It’s kind of odd.”
The topic then turned to Housewives in general, and Dorinda brought up RHONJ not having a reunion and what that means for the fans. She said, “I may be wrong because I’m not a producer, but you know, they want to see us come together. They will be incredibly forgiving if they see you guys come back together.”
Regarding RHONJ, she said, “That’s why I think it was very hard for the audience when New Jersey didn’t have a reunion. I think they should have had a reunion. I do think the reunion is always a beautiful way to tie the bow up.”
