Nine Inch Nails Returning To The Road This Year

Nine Inch Nails will embark on their first tour in three years this summer, which the group confirmed on social media after U.S. dates in August and September began to leak online. However, the Trent Rezno-led group took to social media to update fans on the situation against the backdrop of the Los Angeles wildfires.

“Since some dates and information about our world tour have leaked we are confirming that yes we will be touring and will provide more details soon,” they wrote. “We are all watching the devastation that is unfolding in California and have paused our announcement while people try to deal with all that is happening.”

The band also shared links to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the California Community Foundation Wildlife Recovery Fund, the L.A. County Access Center and other organizations providing aid to those impacted.

Nine Inch Nails was last on the road in 2022 after a four-year break following a more extensive outing in 2018. The group’s last proper studio album was that year’s Bad Wtich, although they released two volumes of archival work under the Ghosts umbrella at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Earlier this month, Reznor and longtime musical partner Atticus Ross won the Golden Globe for Best Original Score for Challengers, the love triangle film starring Zendaya. It was the pair’s third Golden Globe win in the category, following victories for The Social Network in 2011 and Soul in 2021. Ross is also now a member of Nine Inch Nails.

As previously reported, Nine Inch Nails will follow in the footsteps of electronic music legends Wendy Carlos and Daft Punk when they score the upcoming third film in the Tron franchise, Tron: Ares, which will be released Oct. 10.

The movie stars Jared Leto, Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee and Even Peters in the follow-up to 2010’s Tron: Legacy, itself a long-in-the-works sequel to the classic 1982 original film.
