In 1994 a group of filmmakers came together to celebrate the centennial of cinema, making short films with the original Lumiere camera. As one of the celebrated auteurs of the era, David Lynch exploited the technical challenge to tell a eerie story of discovery, reminiscent of the Twin Peaks narrative but enhanced by the otherworldliness of the Lumiere camera.
