Subtronics, the dubstep superstar known for his cyclopean beats and mind-bending drops, is set to command the decks this summer at Wynn Nightlife for his first-ever Las Vegas DJ residency.
The news marks a significant milestone for the genre in Sin City. Vegas has long been the playground of EDM titans like Tiësto, deadmau5, The Chainsmokers and Kygo, but it’s rare for a dubstep artist to claim a residency in this bastion of mainstream dance music.
Subtronics is now poised to ink his name into the glitzy annals of Las Vegas nightlife with a string of performances at Wynn storied Encore Beach Club and its nocturnal event offshoot, “Encore Beach Club at Night.”
With five headline dates planned, Subtronics promises to transform the sun-kissed venue into a wub-filled wonderland, showcasing why dubstep can indeed hold its own in the neon glow of Vegas. His first performance is scheduled for May 16th.
