Composer Danny Elfman has shared the story of how he created the iconic theme song for The Simpsons.
While talking with the Film Music Foundation, he recalled his first encounter with Matt Groening, who was a music critic at one point in his career and he wrote a negative review of an Oingo Boingo show in the Los Angeles Reader after only watching the encores.
Elfman went on to explained how he was approached years later to write the iconic theme for The Simpsons by the same guy who wrote such a bad review.
