Russell Brand has been in hot water after facing allegations of sexual assault and rape from different women. One of his accusers shared that she initially encountered Brand at a party in June 2012, where they exchanged contact information and subsequently engaged in consensual sexual activity at his Los Angeles residence.
On the morning of July 1, 2012, she again met with Brand. However, during this encounter, he proposed that she engage in sexual activity with him and a friend waiting in his bedroom, which she declined. However, when she “tried to get away from him,” Brand pushed her to a wall, grabbed at her underwear, and pulled it to the side. “He’s a lot taller than me. And he has that glazed look in his eye again. And I can’t move. And I told him, “Get off, get off,”‘ the alleged victim recalled in an interview with the Times. She added that Brand did not oblige her request but instead raped her against a wall without a condom.

In response to the accusations, Brand posted a video online where he denied ever committing the alleged acts. He admitted that during the height of his fame in the acting industry, he was quite a promiscuous person. However, he then affirmed that all sexual interactions were all consensual. “Now during that time of promiscuity the relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual,” he said, per Daily Mail, “I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent, and I am being transparent about it now as well.”
Now In a new video to his 3.8m followers, he said: “Hello there you awakening wonders, obviously, it’s been an extraordinary and distressing week and I thank you very much for your support and for questioning the information you’ve been presented with.
“By now, you’re probably aware that the British government have asked big tech platforms to censor our online content. Some online platforms, have complied with that request.
“What you may not know is that this happens in the context of the Online Saftey Bill – this is UK legislation that grants sweeping surveillance and censorship powers and is a law that has already been passed.

“I also don’t imagine that you’ve heard of the trusted news initiative and now, as often is the case when a word like trusted is used as part of an acronym to describe an unelected body, trust is the last thing you should be offering.
“The trusted news initiative is a collaboration between big tech and legacy media organisations to target, patrol, choke and shut down independent media organisations.”
