Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac are currently experiencing a range of emotions. Not only has it been reported that filming for season 10 has been delayed, but there are also rumors that Mia Thornton has either quit or been fired from the series. Now, the RHOP star is opening up in a new podcast about her status with Gordon Thornton, her future with Incognito, and more.
As fans know, season nine of RHOP recently finished airing. Mia was a hot topic for all of the episodes due to her status with her ex, her children, and her new relationship with Inc. Viewers and cast members alike also called her authenticity into question.
Recently, Mia sat down for an interview with Incognito for his podcast, which is called Posted On the Corner. During the conversation, they touched on a number of topics. One of the first was about RHOP, where Mia gave her brief thoughts about the show’s most recent season.
“You know, this is a challenging season, and it was because it was probably the most authentic. I was actually living out my real life on camera, and I have no regrets whatsoever. It’s also probably the best season for me personally as far as development, growth, my relationship, I’ve grown closer to God,” Mia said.
Mia went on, “I just feel so much more secure in who I am, so I’m grateful, but it was a lot of mess. It was a lot. A lot going on.”
Next, they discussed Mia giving exes second chances, and she subtly hinted that she would be willing to give Inc another shot at a relationship. He then asked about their current status, and she responded, “You’re my best friend, and I love you dearly, and you will always be a pivotal part of my life, and I am letting go and allowing God to just navigate our future.”
She continued, “Like, if we are forever, then it’ll happen. There’s no rushing, there’s no pushing, there’s no forcing. Just let go and let God.
The conversation went on, and he then asked for her relationship status with Gordon. According to the RHOP star, “We are still legally married. Legally. I have filed, and we have agreed to our terms, and it’s just a matter of the court system saying, ‘Okay, we’ll set you free.’ They make it so hard to get a divorce, but you can get married tomorrow.”
From there, he asked Mia if they would “date exclusively again” once her divorce was finalized. She said, “I would like to. Are you going to ask me to?”
They then began discussing how they had moved too fast before and how their relationship should have remained private instead of sharing it with the viewers of the show. She also confirmed that Gordon is still her neighbor.
Later in the podcast, Inc wanted to know if Mia had spoken to Karen Huger since her sentencing. Mia gave a shady response, saying, “Can you phone a friend in jail?” They then debated whether inmates could receive calls, and Mia added, “She gotta call me, and I gotta accept, right?” She then joked about Karen not having her wig on in jail.
They then went back to discussing the show, and the topic of why she walked off the reunion came up. “Because no one had time to be sitting there talking about all that crazy mess. Plus, my feet were hurting. I’d had enough. I had enough. Like, legit, I wanted to take that dress off. I couldn’t breathe, my feet were hurting, we had been sitting there… A lot of people don’t realize that we film the reunions for, like, 14 hours. It was, like, hour 10. Labor laws kicked in at that point. It’s time for me to go,” Mia responded.
Inc then complimented Mia on her growth, and she interjected, saying, “You know I was about to knock the brakes off her head, right? You know that, right? So, the growth was to exit.”
She then said, “Gizelle knows dang well that she would not speak to me that way if there was no security and not a platform. She would get her head knocked off by anybody talking to anybody that way. You’re being fake. You’re being phony. You’re doing it because of what’s going around.”
“I don’t know how to do fake. I don’t know how to do phony. I keep it real. I would have really knocked her head off, so I had to leave,” Mia continued.
Finally, they discussed season 10 of the show and if Mia would be back. She explained, “There are negotiations so I can’t confirm, but I would love for season 10 to be tapping back into the real and the CEO Mia.” She went on to say that she wants the next season to show her being a busy mother.
Throughout the conversation, Mia also dropped a few random tidbits. For one, she stated that Gordon went broke after paying for their wedding and that she had to pitch in to make sure they were comfortable. She also discussed the recent video she posted where she joked about wanting to join RHOA and stated that she knows many of the cast members, including the new ones.
Fans can catch Mia on old episodes of RHOP on Peacock.
