B. Simone is again under fire after making a confession during her fitness testimony.
The 34-year-old comedian and podcaster has sparked outrage several times throughout her career. In 2020, fans went off on her for plagiarizing her book about manifestation. She was also slammed for commenting on why she wouldn’t date a man with a nine-to-five job that same month. This time, she received backlash after sharing an emotional TikTok video on March 13. In it, she revealed she was no longer taking Ozempic or diet pills but has remained consistent with her workouts.
Sitting on a gym floor, she said, “Guys, I’m really in this gym getting emotional because I am really doing this on my own. Without medication, without diet pills, without Ozempic, without cheating. Like I am trying so hard and I am so proud of myself. I am literally on vacation in Turks and Caicos working out so hard. I am so proud of you Braelyn, I love you so much.”
She detailed her routine and said, “I get up everyday and I try to feed my mind, my body, my soul and my spirit with just the ultimate level of nutrition. Whether it’s reading something healthy, eating something healthy, listening to gospel meditation music. Like I am doing the best I can and I am so, so, so proud of myself. I’m not taking the elevator anymore. I’m taking the stairs and I’m really doing this like I just have to thank God.”
One person in the comments asked Simone, “What’s wrong with someone taking Ozempic tho?”
The Let’s Try Again Podcast host offered clarification and wrote, “I took Ozempic for two years… I’m talking about myself and my experience. I’m not talking about anybody else…..”
She also told dancer Joie Chavis in the comments that the Type 2 diabetes treatment was “only a quick fix.” She said, “there’s no longevity.”
Responding to another fan who asked if she was taking Ozempic before, Simone said, “Yes i took it to manage my insulin and my PCOS … ultimately to help with weight loss.”

Simone faced criticism from fans who felt she was deceptive. The 34-year-old was selling a workout plan like her 21-day fitness program with Dr. Glory. But fans feel she should have been honest about her use of diet pills and Ozempic beforehand.
One person on Threads said, “Y’all stay letting B. Simone play in your faces. She’s toxic AF.”

“B. Simone snotting and crying because she’s been delivered from Ozempic was the last straw for me. Ma’am please go back in the prayers closet. Something ain’t right with you,” wrote another.
Despite her critics being angry with her, this is not the first time Simone mentioned that she was on Ozempic. In fact, she posted a video on TikTok back in November 2024 showing how her body was reverting since being off of Ozempic.
In the beginning of the clip, she held up her shirt to show off her belly. “I done been off Ozempic for a lil minute now and my regular stomach is coming back,” she said in a comedic tone. She later added, “I’m trying to do it the natural way. I’m trying. But baby, I’m about a phone call away from another prescription.”
Simone started losing the trust of fans back in 2020 when it was discovered that her book, Baby Girl: Manifest the Life You Want, was plagiarized. Content creators slowly came forward revealing that there were pages in her book that were copied from them.
At the time, Simone claimed her team had hired an outsource company, hinting that they were responsible for the wrongdoing. But she said she would reach out to the creatives to make it right.
Just about a week before that, the Texas native rubbed people the wrong way when she spoke about her dating preferences. She said she had no interest in dating a nine to five man but that an entrepreneur is suitable for her.
While appearing as a guest on Nick Cannon Mornings she said, “He can’t be like clocking in and clocking out. No. I think entrepreneurs should date entrepreneurs. No. You’re not going to understand my lifestyle. You’re not going to understand why I’m up at 3 a.m. He has to be an entrepreneur.”
