After the way things ended on that Nashville trip, Cynthia is ready to investigate just went wrong on this episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. There are many issues brewing between the ladies in the group, however Cynthia is hopeful her Juneteenth Bailey-Que can bring everyone together. But when Porsha denies saying she would sleep with Angela‘s husband and Brit comes in hot, it seems like sometimes things are better off left alone.
Cynthia is working HARD as a friend of, trying to understand that last late-night at Porsha’s party. She explains that nothing good happens after midnight. To Cynthia, Porsha claims she doesn’t remember what was said about Angela and that she would never “f*ck anybody’s husband.” Well, this is awkward.
Shamea is reeling from the nasty text Angela sent her way. In the text, Angela referred to the group as a “fake a*s sisterhood” since Shamea did not stand up for Angela when Porsha saying things about her husband. Cynthia tries to lighten the tense mood by discussing her Juneteenth Bailey-que. A prophet will be there, which may or may not be a good thing for these ladies…
It’s a dog pawty for Kelli‘s dog ChaCha. I would expect nothing less (the primping this dog gets is well over a thousand dollars). I mean, the parties Kelli throws are always fabulous-there is even dog entertainment! Brit and Kelli sneak off to chat about things. Brit’s mom is moving in shortly and her estranged sister is coming over to help pack, which is a big move. Since the Kenya situation went down, Brit’s sisters have been super supportive, bringing them all together once again.
Porsha rolls up to her mother’s house, bearing a new puppy for her daughter, Pilar. It’s the weirdest meeting and it’s so anti-climactic, but alas, Peanut Butter, the puppy, is now part of the family.
Porsha chats with her mom and sister about how badly things went in Nashville. She explains that because Dennis filmed with Drew, she felt betrayed and she let that guide her emotions. Right now, she’s not having friendly conversation with Dennis. All she wanted was for him to choose her and Pilar over filming with Drew, but hey, that’s show business.
Porsha also admits to blowing up her own birthday dinner. She got loud, forgetting that Angela’s room was closest to the pool, and although denies saying anything about sleeping with Charles, Porsha DOES remember calling Angela Big Bird. The lies are lying right now.
Shamea arrives at the surrogacy center and she chats about the journey she went through. Her last time around was very traumatic, but she is ready to meet her new potential surrogate. Shamea FaceTimes her husband to introduce him and they all seem thrilled to begin the process again.
Angela begins her workout with Charles, the drill sergeant and former Knicks player. She takes a break to tell him about how she invited Drew to Nashville. Charles wonders why Angela would do a thing like that and reminds Angela that she should let Porsha speak for herself- “doesn’t she have a big mouth?” Speaking of Porsha’s big mouth, Angela goes on to say all the things Porsha was yapping about late-night, including how she said she would “f*ck” Charles. (Love that Charles said no to that). Angela also tells Charles that once confronted, Porsha ran…fast.
Dennis comes to Porsha’s house so he can meet the potential au pair from South Africa. Dennis, the “honorary house-husband,” chats about their friendship and even hops in on Porsha’s confessionals. Porsha questions why someone else had to tell her that Dennis was filming with Drew behind her back. Dennis explains that the cameras were just there (BS) and goes on to say that Drew is not even signed with him anymore.
Because Porsha cannot let it go, she reminds Dennis that he “apparently said she tried to sleep” with Dennis. Dennis denies this and Porsha wonders if he is going to do a break up song to signify the end of that relationship.
Brit explains that her dad was the glue and since he has passed away, her family has not been as close as they once were. Packing up her mom’s house is bringing back old memories and she is sad that her mother is selling the safe haven for her family. Brit’s mom is ready to live her own life and we get a peak at how differently Brit and her sisters have been dealing with grief.
Cynthia is prepping for her Juneteenth Bailey-Que. Despite the thunder and rain, the prophet arrives and reads Brit right away. The uplifting news that the prophet brings helps Brit, as she is ready to focus on herself and her new business. But when Angela arrives, Brit’s face is classic. She is clearly not excited to see her.
The prophet shows off her skills, pointing out Kelli’s G-Wagon that her ex returned, a fact no one knew, and tells Angela that she needs to stop being so comfortable in her marriage. When the prophet mentions that Charles has his eyes on a Porsche, the ladies can’t help but be shady and liken this prophecy to Porsha. Too soon.
Shamea gets told that “sometimes it’s important to lay low” and Drew, in the most extra way possible, is able to get her prophecy in private. Makes you wonder what Drew may be trying to hide from this group, huh?
The women get to talking and Angela points out that the energy from Brit just seems off and wonders if Brit has something to say to her. Brit tells Angela to read the words coming out of her mouth, something you say when you are really mad, and to that, Angela retorts, “that big a*s mouth? I should be able to read it.” Brit and Angela go back and forth, but Angela comes in hard with her jabs. She shouts that Brit’s mouth has stretch marks around it and that she’s got “miles” on her mouth. Angela calls Brit a whore and Brit fires back that maybe Angela should try being a whore in the bedroom so she can keep her man. Angela demands receipts from Brit about this Charles/baby rumor and Cynthia tries to diffuse the escalating situation.
Cynthia wants the ladies to get to a place of peace and so they begin a game about Juneteenth history. After she successfully calms down the group, they head over to eat and things seem relatively calm for the time being.
Cynthia attempts to play peace maker by putting Angela and Porsha in a room so they can have a conversation about what went down in Nashville. Angela explains that she felt attacked and refuses to let Porsha off the hook for her late-night comments about Charles. In her confessional, Porsha states, “I didn’t know that Dumbo was up there listening with her big old ears,” referring to Angela overhearing their conversation. After some prodding by Cynthia, Angela and Porsha apologize to each other, ready to move forward.
Porsha heads back to the group, but Angela is now powwowing with Shamea. Shamea is looking for some closure about those texts Angela sent her way, but Angela is not admitting fault for her words. Instead, she explains that she wanted Shamea to think for herself and check Porsha for saying she would sleep with Charles.
Shamea states that if she thinks something is funny, she will laugh, which is not exactly what Angela wanted to hear. Angela does not want to be bothered with Shamea and her choices. Maybe Phaedra’s return will quiet Porsha’s puppets and rock the boat…?
