On this episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kelli and Shamea plan an upcoming girls’ trip to Grenada and Brit throws an “event” for her shapewear line, Bare and Naked. Shamea is still hurt that Drew called her a lap dog, but the country club does not appear to be the place to talk it out. When a familiar face resurfaces, the shade is thrown at the current peaches and a new guest is added to the list for Grenada: Phaedra.
Move over Porsha, Kelli is here now. It seems like Shamea and Kelli have formed a fast, easy friendship. They relax by Shamea’s pool sipping champagne, talking about the upcoming girls’ trip that they are planning to co-host. Of course it only takes Shamea 75 guesses before Kelli blurts out the destination is Grenada, the Isle of Spice. Grenada was recently affected by a hurricane and so the group will go and provide financial support, but also have a good time along the way.
Kelli cannot believe that it’s been almost two years since she has filed for divorce. It has been draining, considering her ex “wants her soul,” but Kelli is hopeful that this Grenada trip will help her close this story of her life so she can move on.
As she prepares for her divorce, Porsha has decided to house hunt just your average 8 bed, 4.2 million dollar home. The life she wanted has ended and now it is time for her to start a new one. Porsha admits that throughout her first divorce, she was submissive, but this time around, she know what to ask for and what to do. Plus, this upcoming Grenada trip is giving her a chance to reset, renew, and rebirth. Porsha explains that her relationship with Shamea is back in a good place and she is looking forward to sharing that information with the rest of the ladies so they can get off her back.
Speaking of Shamea, she’s busy in the radio studio promoting her new songs. She doesn’t hesitate to throw shade at Drew, the *other* housewife with new songs. Shamea admits that sometimes she is too busy to remember she is beefing with people, but when someone calls her a laptop (cough cough DREW), she’s got a big problem…
In the meantime, Brit’s shapewear brand Bare and Naked is ready to launch. She has decided to hold a “country club” event for the ladies to show how her line is so bare, you feel naked. Ok, then…
Angela and Charles visit their 4th investment property that they can’t seem to shake. Things are not looking great, as they’ve had to lower the price and Angela is now 2 million dollars in debt. It doesn’t help that Angela is hurt about her mom selling the home she bought for them. All of Angela’s efforts seem to be in vain. When it comes to Angela’s mother, things with her and Charles have never been great and Angela was always “on his a*s” about it. But recently, Angela wants to give Charles the chance to hear him out and she apologizes for never seeing his side in the situation. I don’t think Charles cares one bit, but I digress…
Despite the way Angela and Brit behave towards each other, Angela has decided to support Brit by bringing Charles with her to the event. But Brit’s country club vibes are not quite vibing, as the event planner did not set up jack and Kelli and Shamea already arrive. To try and divert their attention from this issue, Brit takes them golfing, an unexpected twist off events that Kelli and Shamea were not prepared for (see: outfits).
It seems like a very disjointed event and everyone is confused at WTF is happening. Eventually, they return from the green and a very confused Porsha waits with Angela and Charles. No one is quite sure what Bare and Naked has to do with a country club, but they are just going with it for Brit’s sake.
Awkwardly, Brit only supplies enough food for the ladies’ table (hello, tight budget) and before things get any more uncomfortable for the *other* guests, Brit grabs the mic and talks about her shapewear brand. LOL at the fact that she got Angela a size XL. An annoyed Angela retorts, “Maybe she got this confused with the size of her toothbrush for her big a*s mouth.”
At the table while Brit talks about her post-BBL shapewear, Angela blurts out that Charles does not have a side baby and Brit makes it clear that she would never have been one of Charles’s whores. Brit is ready to move on and Charles looks like he wants to crawl out of skin and be anywhere but there.
Drew decides that NOW would be the best time to bring up her issues with Kelli, wondering just who the real Kelli is. Shamea jumps on this opportunity, confused as to why she got a stray from Drew, calling her a lapdog. Shamea calls it harsh and questions Drew’s comment about paying for Porsha’s daughter’s college. While Drew tries to clear her name, Shamea refuses to listen, barking and stating, “kiss my mother f*ckin a*s b*tch.” When Drew asks Shamea how old she is, behaving like that, Shamea asks, “in dog years or human years?”
Brit stands up to remind the ladies that they are at a classy establishment (that only feeds a certain table of guests), Drew excuses herself since she doesn’t talk to animals, and the event ends awkwardly.
Drew is ready to officially sign her recording deal, but not before she puts all the Dennis nonsense to rest. She FaceTimes him (so he doesn’t hear Porsha b*tching about him filming with Drew) and gives Dennis the chance to clear his name based on the alleged statements. Drew is adamant she never tried to make a pass at him in return for free studio time, especially since Dennis is “like her brother.” Now that Dennis is her partner (in music), they are ready to move forward and celebrate her success.
“I heard you were looking for me. Here I go.” She’s baaaack. Phaedra is returning as the Frack to Porsha’s Frick. Phaedra admits that the last time you saw her back in 2017 wasn’t her best moment. Life has thrown her many curveballs, but she rose above it until she “played with fire.” Phaedra regrets how she left the group, but her relationship with Porsha has been maintained over the years.
When it comes to Phaedra learning about the other ladies, she wastes no time being shady. Phaedra calls Kelli a “garden gnome” and explains that little people are her fetish. Oooo the shade. According to Phaedra, Brit is known to have a few suitors and Shamea is good people. Upon hearing that Drew is working with Porsha’s child’s father, Phaedra gasps, “she selling hot dogs?!” LOLOL. Porsha corrects Drew, claiming that Drew was “sitting on the hot dogs.” Phaedra further refers to Angela as the secret wife of Charles Oakley.
Even though it appears as if Phaedra has NO interest in this group based on what she says about them, Porsha asks the hosts if Phaedra can join them to Grenada. Phaedra is thrilled to be included, claiming it’s “so delicious. A buffet of foolishness.” It is so on…
