The Fantastic Four: First Steps star Ralph Ineson recently opened up about what fans can expect from Galactus in the highly anticipated upcoming movie.
What did Ralph Ineson say about Galactus in The Fantastic Four: First Steps?
Speaking to Empire Magazine, Ineson discussed getting into the head of what, essentially, is a god. This included doing things like imagining what such a colossal being moved and sounded like.
Ineson noted that he went driving through the tunnels of Mont Blanc in the Alps, “just imagining that as his windpipe and his trachea,” Ineson said. “I also went to a lot of tall buildings. We went to a wedding at the top of the Gherkin building in London, and I spent most of the afternoon just staring out, ruminating. I got in trouble with my wife — she was like, ‘You’ve got to say hello to the bride and groom at some point!’”
Despite Galactus’ giant stature and his desire to consume planets, Ineson doesn’t view the character as a necessarily bad guy.
“I don’t think Galactus is evil,” the star said.
The cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The film also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Additionally, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Kevin Feige serves as a producer on the project, while executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis. Mitch Bell is a co-producer, while the music comes from Michael Giacchino.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters on July 25, 2025. It has been confirmed that Pascal, Kirby, Quinn, and Moss-Bachrach will all return for the next MCU movie after that, Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives in May 2026.
